| ４５主がおしゃったことは必ず実現すると信じた方は、なんと幸いでしょう。」 [37] | 45 Bienheureuse celle qui a cru : ce qui lui a été dit de la part du Seigneur s’accomplira ! » | 45 And blessed is she that believed : for there shall be a performance of those things which were told her from the Lord. |

| ５４その僕イスラエルを受け入れて、憐れみをお忘れになりません、 [45] | 54 Il est venu en aide à Israël son serviteur en souvenir de sa bonté, | 54 He hath holpen his servant Israel, in remembrance of his mercy ; |

| 2 これは、キリニウスがシリア州の総督であったときに行われた最初の住民登録である。 [49] | — ce premier recensement eut lieu lorsque Quirinius était gouverneur de Syrie. — | 2 (And this taxing was first made when Cyrenius was governor of Syria.) |

| 4ヨセフもダビデの家に属し、その血筋であったので、ガリラヤの町ナザレから、ユダヤのベツレヘムというダビデの町へ上って行った。 [51] | Joseph, lui aussi, quitta la ville de Nazareth en Galilée, pour monter en Judée, à la ville de David appelée Bethléem, car il était de la maison et de la descendance de David. | 4 And Joseph also went up from Galilee, out of the city of Nazareth, into Judaea, unto the city of David, which is called Bethlehem ; (because he was of the house and lineage of David :) |

| 8 その地方で羊飼いたちが野宿をしながら、夜通し羊の群れの番をしていた。 [53] | Dans les environs se trouvaient des bergers qui passaient la nuit dans les champs pour garder leurs troupeaux. | 8 And there were in the same country shepherds abiding in the field, keeping watch over their flock by night. |
| 9 すると、主の天使が近づき、主の栄光が周りを照らしたので、彼らは非常に恐れた。 [54] | L’ange du Seigneur s’approcha, et la gloire du Seigneur les enveloppa de sa lumière. Ils furent saisis d’une grande crainte, | 9 And, lo, the angel of the Lord came upon them, and the glory of the Lord shone round about them : and they were sore afraid. |
| 10 天使は言った。「恐れるな。わたしは、民全体に与えられる大きな喜びを告げる。 [55] | mais l’ange leur dit : « Ne craignez pas, car voici que je viens vous annoncer une bonne nouvelle, une grande joie pour tout le peuple : | 10 And the angel said unto them, Fear not : for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people. |
| 11 今日ダビデの町で、あなたがたのために救い主がお生まれになった。この方こそ主メシアである。 [56] | Aujourd’hui vous est né un Sauveur, dans la ville de David. Il est le Messie, le Seigneur. | 11 For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord. |
| 12 あなたがたは、布にくるまって飼い葉桶の中に寝ている乳飲み子を見つけるであろう。これがあなたがたへのしるしである。」 [57] | Et voilà le signe qui vous est donné : vous trouverez un nouveau-né emmailloté et couché dans une mangeoire. » | 12 And this shall be a sign unto you ; Ye shall find the babe wrapped in swaddling clothes, lying in a manger. |
| 13 すると、突然、この天使に天の大軍が加わり、神を賛美して言った。 [58] | Et soudain, il y eut avec l’ange une troupe céleste innombrable, qui louait Dieu en disant : | 13 And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God, and saying, |
| 14「いと高きところには栄光、神にあれ、／地には平和、御心に適う人にあれ。」 [59] | « Gloire à Dieu au plus haut des cieux, et paix sur la terre aux hommes qu’il aime. » | 14 Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men. |

Ne passez pas de maison en maison. | 7 And in the same house remain, eating and drinking such things as they give : for the labourer is worthy of his hire. Go not from house to house. |

Coupe-le. Pourquoi faut-il encore qu’il épuise la terre ? ” | 7 Then said he unto the dresser of his vineyard, Behold, these three years I come seeking fruit on this fig tree, and find none : cut it down ; why cumbereth it the ground ? |

| 僕は帰って、このことを主人に報告した。すると、家の主人は怒って、僕に言った。『急いで町の広場や路地へ出て行き、貧しい人、体の不自由な人、目の見えない人、足の不自由な人をここに連れて来なさい。』 [165] | 21 À son retour, le serviteur rapporta ces réponses à son maître. Alors, pris de colère, le maître de maison dit à son serviteur : ‹Va-t’en vite par les places et les rues de la ville, et amène ici les pauvres, les estropiés, les aveugles et les boiteux.› | 21 So that servant came, and shewed his lord these things. Then the master of the house being angry said to his servant, Go out quickly into the streets and lanes of the city, and bring in hither the poor, and the maimed, and the halt, and the blind. |

| ２４そこで、大声で言った。『父アブラハムよ、わたしを憐れんでください。ラザロをよこして、指先を水に浸し、わたしの舌を冷やさせてください。わたしはこの炎の中でもだえ苦しんでいます。』 [199] | 24 Alors il s’écria : “Abraham, mon père, aie pitié de moi et envoie Lazare tremper le bout de son doigt dans l’eau pour me rafraîchir la langue, car je souffre le supplice dans ces flammes.” | So he called to him, ’Father Abraham, have pity on me and send Lazarus to dip the tip of his finger in water and cool my tongue, because I am in agony in this fire.’ |
| ２５ しかし、アブラハムは言った。『子よ、思い出してみるがよい。お前は生きている間に良いものをもらっていたが、ラザロは反対に悪いものをもらっていた。今は、ここで彼は慰められ、お前はもだえ苦しむのだ。 [200] | 25 Abraham lui dit : “Mon enfant, souviens-toi que tu as reçu ton bonheur durant ta vie, comme Lazare le malheur ; et maintenant il trouve ici la consolation, et toi la souffrance. | But Abraham replied, ’Son, remember that in your lifetime you received your good things, while Lazarus received bad things, but now he is comforted here and you are in agony. |
| ２６ そればかりか、わたしたちとお前たちの間には大きな淵があって、ここからお前たちの方へ渡ろうとしてもできないし、そこからわたしたちの方に越えて来ることもできない。』 [201] | 26 De plus, entre vous et nous, il a été disposé un grand abîme pour que ceux qui voudraient passer d’ici vers vous ne le puissent pas et que, de là non plus, on ne traverse pas vers nous.” | And besides all this, between us and you a great chasm has been fixed, so that those who want to go from here to you cannot, nor can anyone cross over from there to us.’ |
| 金持ちは言った。『父よ、ではお願いです。わたしの父親の家にラザロを遣わしてください。 [202] | 27 « Le riche dit : “Je te prie alors, père, d’envoyer Lazare dans la maison de mon père, | He answered, ’Then I beg you, father, send Lazarus to my father’s house, |
