Voir Jean 20,11-18 - John 20:11-18

L’Évangile d’aujourd’hui [1]fête de Marie-Madeleine, nous montre comment Marie-Madeleine a été retournée par l’apparition de son Maître ressuscité. Today [2] ’s Gospel tells us the way Mary Magdalene was turned upside down by the apparition of her Risen Master
Elle qui connaissait Jésus à la manière humaine, elle a dû apprendre à le connaître d’une autre manière, et l’évangile le dit physiquement : elle doit se retourner à deux reprises. She knew Jesus in a human way, she had now to learn to know him in another way, and this the Gospel describes it physically : she has to turn herself back twice.
La première fois, alors qu’elle est tournée vers le tombeau, la présence dans son dos de Jésus ressuscité la fait se retourner une première fois mais cela ne suffit pas, elle est encore attachée à la figure du Jésus terrestre et elle ne l’a pas reconnu. The first time, as she is facing the tomb, the presence of Risen Jesus behind her makes her turn around for the first time but it is not enough, she is still clinging to the face of the earthly Jesus and she does not recognize him.
Jésus devra s’y reprendre une deuxième fois : « Marie ». Pas de grandes phrases, pas de grands gestes, seulement son prénom et c’est une flèche qui atteint Marie directement au cœur. Jesus will have to try a second time : « Mary ». No big sentences, no big moves, just her first name, and it is an arrow that hits Mary right in the heart.
Elle connaissait Jésus de manière humaine, elle ne le connaît plus ainsi maintenant [3], elle n’a plus besoin de le toucher physiquement pour sentir sa présence. She knew Jesus in a human way but now she does no longer know him in this way [4], she does no longer need to touch him physically to feel his presence.
Marie Madeleine est passée à un niveau supérieur de connaissance du Maître. Mary Madeleine has moved to a higher level of knowledge of the Master’s mystery
Elle le cherchait sur terre, elle le cherche maintenant au ciel. Elle est retournée, convertie, et sa conversion va en entraîner d’autres. She was looking for him on earth, she is now looking for him in heaven. She is returned, she is converted and her conversion will bring about other conversions.
Je conclurai sur une image. I will conclude with a comparison.
Vous étalez de la limaille en vrac sur une feuille de papier. Les brins de fer sont éparpillés dans tous les sens. Vous approchez sous la feuille de papier un aimant. You spread loose filings on a sheet of paper. The strands of iron are scattered in all directions. You approach a magnet under the piece of paper.
L’aimant n’a pas besoin de toucher les brins de fer : sa simple présence les fait s’orienter en entraînant d’autres brins avec eux. Without touching the strands of iron, the magnet makes them orientate and drag other strands with them.
Le Christ ressuscité est un peu comme cela : assis au ciel auprès du Père, il nous polarise sans nous toucher, il nous « convertit » au sens littéral du latin « cum vertere », il nous tourne en entier vers lui, et en nous tournant vers lui, nous entraînons nos proches avec nous. The Risen Christ looks a bit like that : sitting in Heaven next to the Father, he polarizes us without touching us, he « converts » us in the literal meaning of the Latin « cum vertere », which means to turn us entirely to him and in the process bring other people next to us.

マリアは墓の外に立って泣いていた。泣きながら身をかがめて墓の中を見ると、 11 Marie était restée dehors, près du tombeau, et elle pleurait. Tout en pleurant elle se penche vers le tombeau 11 But Mary stood without at the sepulchre weeping : and as she wept, she stooped down, and looked into the sepulchre,
イエスの遺体の置いてあった所に、白い衣を着た二人の天使が見えた。一人は頭の方に、もう一人は足の方に座っていた。 12 et elle voit deux anges vêtus de blanc, assis à l’endroit même où le corps de Jésus avait été déposé, l’un à la tête et l’autre aux pieds. 12 And seeth two angels in white sitting, the one at the head, and the other at the feet, where the body of Jesus had lain.
天使たちが、「婦人よ、なぜ泣いているのか」と言うと、マリアは言った。「わたしの主が取り去られました。どこに置かれているのか、わたしには分かりません。」 13 « Femme, lui dirent-ils, pourquoi pleures-tu ? » Elle leur répondit : « On a enlevé mon Seigneur, et je ne sais où on l’a mis. » 13 And they say unto her, Woman, why weepest thou ? She saith unto them, Because they have taken away my Lord, and I know not where they have laid him.
こう言いながら後ろを振り向くと、イエスの立っておられるのが見えた。しかし、それがイエスだとは分からなかった。 14 Tout en parlant, elle se retourne et elle voit Jésus qui se tenait là, mais elle ne savait pas que c’était lui. 14 And when she had thus said, she turned herself back, and saw Jesus standing, and knew not that it was Jesus.
イエスは言われた。「婦人よ、なぜ泣いているのか。だれを捜しているのか。」マリアは、園丁だと思って言った。「あなたがあの方を運び去ったのでしたら、どこに置いたのか教えてください。わたしが、あの方を引き取ります。」 15 Jésus lui dit : « Femme, pourquoi pleures-tu ? qui cherches-tu ? » Mais elle, croyant qu’elle avait affaire au gardien du jardin, lui dit : « Seigneur, si c’est toi qui l’as enlevé, dis-moi où tu l’as mis, et j’irai le prendre. » 15 Jesus saith unto her, Woman, why weepest thou ? whom seekest thou ? She, supposing him to be the gardener, saith unto him, Sir, if thou have borne him hence, tell me where thou hast laid him, and I will take him away.
イエスが、「マリア」と言われると、彼女は振り向いて、ヘブライ語で、「ラボニ」と言った。「先生」という意味である。 16 Jésus lui dit : « Marie. » Elle se retourna et lui dit en hébreu : « Rabbouni » - ce qui signifie maître. 16 Jesus saith unto her, Mary. She turned herself, and saith unto him, Rabboni ; which is to say, Master.
イエスは言われた。「わたしにすがりつくのはよしなさい。まだ父のもとへ上っていないのだから。わたしの兄弟たちのところへ行って、こう言いなさい。『わたしの父であり、あなたがたの父である方、また、わたしの神であり、あなたがたの神である方のところへわたしは上る』と。」 17 Jésus lui dit : « Ne me retiens pas ! car je ne suis pas encore monté vers mon Père. Pour toi, va trouver mes frères et dis-leur que je monte vers mon Père qui est votre Père, vers mon Dieu qui est votre Dieu. » 17 Jesus saith unto her, Touch me not ; for I am not yet ascended to my Father : but go to my brethren, and say unto them, I ascend unto my Father, and your Father ; and to my God, and your God.
マグダラのマリアは弟子たちのところへ行って、「わたしは主を見ました」と告げ、また、主から言われたことを伝えた。 18 Marie de Magdala vint donc annoncer aux disciples : « J’ai vu le Seigneur, et voilà ce qu’il m’a dit. » 18 Mary Magdalene came and told the disciples that she had seen the Lord, and that he had spoken these things unto her.
