| Mes amis, c’est maintenant l’heure du jugement [1]. Mais qui est jugé ? | My friends, now is the time for judgment [2]. But who is judged ? |
| En apparence, c’est Jésus qui est jugé, et ses juges sont les puissants, Pilate le romain et Caïphe le juif. Mais les apparences sont trompeuses. | It looks as if Jesus is the one who is judged, and his judges are the powerful people, Pilate the Roman and Caiaphas the Jew. But appearances are deceptive. |
| En réalité, ce sont ces potentats d’ici-bas qui sont jugés : le procès de Jésus montre la déshumanisation de Pilate et de Caïphe qui n’hésitent pas à broyer un être humain pris dans leurs luttes de pouvoir. Leurs hommes de main sont aussi jugés, eux qui prennent plaisir à dégrader un être humain. | In fact, these potentates of this earth are the ones who are judged : the trial of Jesus shows the dehumanization of Pilate and Caiaphas who do not hesitate to crush a human being caught up in their power struggles. Their henchmen who take pleasure in degrading a human being are also judged,. |
| Mais sont aussi jugés les disciples de Jésus à commencer par Pierre qui ont déserté quand les choses ont mal tourné, et plus généralement ce monde qui laisse les forts opprimer les faibles, la veuve, l’orphelin, l’immigré, le handicapé. | But Jesus’ disciples, starting with Peter, who deserted when things turned out badly, are also tried. More generally this world which lets the strong oppress the weak, the widow, the orphan, the immigrant, the handicapped I judged |
| Et plus fondamentalement, celui qui est jugé, c’est celui qui se tient derrière tout cela, celui qui pervertit les mots, celui qui asservit la race des hommes dans le péché et la mort, à savoir Satan. | And more fundamentally, the one who is judged is the one who stands behind it all, the one who perverts the words, the one who enslaves the race of men in sin and death, namely Satan. |
| Quelqu’un qui s’appelle Jésus lui a résisté, quelqu’un qui n’est pas entré dans le piège de ses séductions trompeuses, alors Satan s’est jeté sur cette chair d’homme fouettée, humiliée, clouée nue sur une croix, chair tuméfiée par les coups, lacérée par le fouet, déshonorée par les insultes et les crachats. | Someone called Jesus resisted him, someone did not fall into the trap of his deceptive seductions, so Satan wanted to eliminate him. He threw himself on this whipped, humiliated human flesh, nailed naked to a cross. A flesh swollen by blows, lacerated by the whip, dishonored by insults and spitting. |
| Satan n’a pas perçu que cette chair n’était pas une chair ordinaire, il n’a pas perçu la divinité qui reposait dans cette chair. En mordant la chair de cet être humain, il n’a pas vu qu’il mordait aussi à l’hameçon de la divinité en lui. | Satan did not perceive that this flesh was not ordinary flesh, he did not perceive the divinity that rested in this flesh. While biting the flesh of this human being, he did not see that he was also biting the hook of the divinity within him. |
| Mes amis, c’est maintenant l’heure du grand jugement, c’est maintenant l’heure où l’envoyé plénipotentiaire de Dieu éjecte du monde l’antique serpent dont le venin a trop longtemps infecté le sang humain. | My friends, now is the hour of great judgment, now is the hour when the plenipotentiary envoy of God expels out the ancient serpent whose venom has infected the human blood for too long. |
| C’est l’heure de la grande crise cosmique qui se joue sur la croix. Alors levons les yeux vers elle, et assistons en compagnie de Marie et de Jean au combat qu’y livre pour nous notre chef . | It is the hour of the great cosmic crisis which is playing out on the cross. So let’s raise our eyes to it, and witness with Mary and John the fight that our leader is fighting for us. |

| 人々は、イエスをカイアファのところから総督官邸に連れて行った。明け方であった。しかし、彼らは自分では官邸に入らなかった。汚れないで過越の食事をするためである。 | 28 Cependant on avait emmené Jésus de chez Caïphe à la résidence du gouverneur. C’était le point du jour. Ceux qui l’avaient amené n’entrèrent pas dans la résidence pour ne pas se souiller et pouvoir manger la Pâque. | 28 Then led they Jesus from Caiaphas unto the hall of judgment : and it was early ; and they themselves went not into the judgment hall, lest they should be defiled ; but that they might eat the passover. |
| そこで、ピラトが彼らのところへ出て来て、「どういう罪でこの男を訴えるのか」と言った。 | 29 Pilate vint donc les trouver à l’extérieur et dit : « Quelle accusation portez-vous contre cet homme ? » | 29 Pilate then went out unto them, and said, What accusation bring ye against this man ? |
| 彼らは答えて、「この男が悪いことをしていなかったら、あなたに引き渡しはしなかったでしょう」と言った。 | 30 Ils répondirent : « Si cet individu n’avait pas fait le mal, te l’aurions-nous livré ? » | 30 They answered and said unto him, If he were not a malefactor, we would not have delivered him up unto thee. |
| ピラトが、「あなたたちが引き取って、自分たちの律法に従って裁け」と言うと、ユダヤ人たちは、「わたしたちには、人を死刑にする権限がありません」と言った。 | 31 Pilate leur dit alors : « Prenez-le et jugez-le vous-mêmes suivant votre loi. » Les Juifs lui dirent : « Il ne nous est pas permis de mettre quelqu’un à mort ! » | 31 Then said Pilate unto them, Take ye him, and judge him according to your law. The Jews therefore said unto him, It is not lawful for us to put any man to death : |
| それは、御自分がどのような死を遂げるかを示そうとして、イエスの言われた言葉が実現するためであった。 | 32 C’est ainsi que devait s’accomplir la parole par laquelle Jésus avait signifié de quelle mort il devait mourir. | 32 That the saying of Jesus might be fulfilled, which he spake, signifying what death he should die. |
| そこで、ピラトはもう一度官邸に入り、イエスを呼び出して、「お前がユダヤ人の王なのか」と言った。 | 33 Pilate rentra donc dans la résidence. Il appela Jésus et lui dit : « Es-tu le roi des Juifs ? » | 33 Then Pilate entered into the judgment hall again, and called Jesus, and said unto him, Art thou the King of the Jews ? |
| イエスはお答えになった。「あなたは自分の考えで、そう言うのですか。それとも、ほかの者がわたしについて、あなたにそう言ったのですか。」 | 34 Jésus lui répondit : « Dis-tu cela de toi-même ou d’autres te l’ont-ils dit de moi ? » | 34 Jesus answered him, Sayest thou this thing of thyself, or did others tell it thee of me ? |
| ピラトは言い返した。「わたしはユダヤ人なのか。お前の同胞や祭司長たちが、お前をわたしに引き渡したのだ。いったい何をしたのか。」 | 35 Pilate lui répondit : « Est-ce que je suis Juif, moi ? Ta propre nation, les grands prêtres t’ont livré à moi ! Qu’as-tu fait ? » | 35 Pilate answered, Am I a Jew ? Thine own nation and the chief priests have delivered thee unto me : what hast thou done ? |
| イエスはお答えになった。「わたしの国は、この世には属していない。もし、わたしの国がこの世に属していれば、わたしがユダヤ人に引き渡されないように、部下が戦ったことだろう。しかし、実際、わたしの国はこの世には属していない。」 | 36 Jésus répondit : « Ma royauté n’est pas de ce monde. Si ma royauté était de ce monde, les miens auraient combattu pour que je ne sois pas livré aux Juifs. Mais ma royauté, maintenant, n’est pas d’ici. » | 36 Jesus answered, My kingdom is not of this world : if my kingdom were of this world, then would my servants fight, that I should not be delivered to the Jews : but now is my kingdom not from hence. |
| そこでピラトが、「それでは、やはり王なのか」と言うと、イエスはお答えになった。「わたしが王だとは、あなたが言っていることです。わたしは真理について証しをするために生まれ、そのためにこの世に来た。真理に属する人は皆、わたしの声を聞く。」 | 37 Pilate lui dit alors : « Tu es donc roi ? » Jésus lui répondit : « C’est toi qui dis que je suis roi. Je suis né et je suis venu dans le monde pour rendre témoignage à la vérité. Quiconque est de la vérité écoute ma voix. » | 37 Pilate therefore said unto him, Art thou a king then ? Jesus answered, Thou sayest that I am a king. To this end was I born, and for this cause came I into the world, that I should bear witness unto the truth. Every one that is of the truth heareth my voice. |
| ピラトは言った。「真理とは何か。」 ピラトは、こう言ってからもう一度、ユダヤ人たちの前に出て来て言った。「わたしはあの男に何の罪も見いだせない。 |
38 Pilate lui dit : « Qu’est-ce que la vérité ? » Sur ce mot, il alla de nouveau trouver les Juifs au-dehors et leur dit : « Pour ma part, je ne trouve contre lui aucun chef d’accusation. | 38 Pilate saith unto him, What is truth ? And when he had said this, he went out again unto the Jews, and saith unto them, I find in him no fault at all. |
| ところで、過越祭にはだれか一人をあなたたちに釈放するのが慣例になっている。あのユダヤ人の王を釈放してほしいか。」 | 39 Mais comme il est d’usage chez vous que je vous relâche quelqu’un au moment de la Pâque, voulez-vous donc que je vous relâche le roi des Juifs ? » | 39 But ye have a custom, that I should release unto you one at the passover : will ye therefore that I release unto you the King of the Jews ? |
| すると、彼らは、「その男ではない。バラバを」と大声で言い返した。バラバは強盗であった。 | 40 Alors ils se mirent à crier : « Pas celui-là, mais Barabbas ! » Or ce Barabbas était un brigand. | 40 Then cried they all again, saying, Not this man, but Barabbas. Now Barabbas was a robber. |
| そこで、ピラトはイエスを捕らえ、鞭で打たせた。 | John 19:1 Alors Pilate emmena Jésus et le fit fouetter. | KJV John 19:1 Then Pilate therefore took Jesus, and scourged him. |

| そばにやって来ては、「ユダヤ人の王、万歳」と言って、平手で打った。 | 3 Ils s’approchaient de lui et disaient : « Salut, le roi des Juifs ! » et ils se mirent à lui donner des coups. | 3 And said, Hail, King of the Jews ! and they smote him with their hands. |
| ピラトはまた出て来て、言った。「見よ、あの男をあなたたちのところへ引き出そう。そうすれば、わたしが彼に何の罪も見いだせないわけが分かるだろう。」 | 4 Pilate retourna à l’extérieur et dit aux Juifs : « Voyez, je vais vous l’amener dehors : vous devez savoir que je ne trouve aucun chef d’accusation contre lui. » | 4 Pilate therefore went forth again, and saith unto them, Behold, I bring him forth to you, that ye may know that I find no fault in him. |
| イエスは茨の冠をかぶり、紫の服を着けて出て来られた。ピラトは、「見よ、この男だ」と言った。 | 5 Jésus vint alors à l’extérieur ; il portait la couronne d’épines et le manteau de pourpre. Pilate leur dit : « Voici l’homme ! » | 5 Then came Jesus forth, wearing the crown of thorns, and the purple robe. And Pilate saith unto them, Behold the man ! |
| 祭司長たちや下役たちは、イエスを見ると、「十字架につけろ。十字架につけろ」と叫んだ。ピラトは言った。「あなたたちが引き取って、十字架につけるがよい。わたしはこの男に罪を見いだせない。」 | 6 Mais dès que les grands prêtres et leurs gens le virent, ils se mirent à crier : « Crucifie-le ! Crucifie-le ! » Pilate leur dit : « Prenez-le vous-mêmes et crucifiez-le ; quant à moi, je ne trouve pas de chef d’accusation contre lui. » | 6 When the chief priests therefore and officers saw him, they cried out, saying, Crucify him, crucify him. Pilate saith unto them, Take ye him, and crucify him : for I find no fault in him. |
| ユダヤ人たちは答えた。「わたしたちには律法があります。律法によれば、この男は死罪に当たります。神の子と自称したからです。」 | 7 Les Juifs lui répliquèrent : « Nous avons une loi, et selon cette loi il doit mourir parce qu’il s’est fait Fils de Dieu ! » | 7 The Jews answered him, We have a law, and by our law he ought to die, because he made himself the Son of God. |
| 再び総督官邸の中に入って、「お前はどこから来たのか」とイエスに言った。しかし、イエスは答えようとされなかった。 | 8 Lorsque Pilate entendit ce propos, il fut de plus en plus effrayé. | 8 When Pilate therefore heard that saying, he was the more afraid ; |
| そこで、ピラトは言った。「わたしに答えないのか。お前を釈放する権限も、十字架につける権限も、このわたしにあることを知らないのか。」 | 9 Il regagna la résidence et dit à Jésus : « D’où es-tu, toi ? » Mais Jésus ne lui fit aucune réponse. | 9 And went again into the judgment hall, and saith unto Jesus, Whence art thou ? But Jesus gave him no answer. |
| そこで、ピラトは言った。「わたしに答えないのか。お前を釈放する権限も、十字架につける権限も、このわたしにあることを知らないのか。」 | 10 Pilate lui dit alors : « C’est à moi que tu refuses de parler ! Ne sais-tu pas que j’ai le pouvoir de te relâcher comme j’ai le pouvoir de te faire crucifier ? » | 10 Then saith Pilate unto him, Speakest thou not unto me ? knowest thou not that I have power to crucify thee, and have power to release thee ? |
| イエスは答えられた。「神から与えられていなければ、わたしに対して何の権限もないはずだ。だから、わたしをあなたに引き渡した者の罪はもっと重い。」 | 11 Mais Jésus lui répondit : « Tu n’aurais sur moi aucun pouvoir s’il ne t’avait été donné d’en haut ; et c’est bien pourquoi celui qui m’a livré à toi porte un plus grand péché. » | 11 Jesus answered, Thou couldest have no power at all against me, except it were given thee from above : therefore he that delivered me unto thee hath the greater sin. |
| そこで、ピラトはイエスを釈放しようと努めた。しかし、ユダヤ人たちは叫んだ。「もし、この男を釈放するなら、あなたは皇帝の友ではない。王と自称する者は皆、皇帝に背いています。」 | 12 Dès lors, Pilate cherchait à le relâcher, mais les Juifs se mirent à crier et ils disaient : « Si tu le relâchais, tu ne te conduirais pas comme l’ami de César ! Car quiconque se fait roi, se déclare contre César. » | 12 And from thenceforth Pilate sought to release him : but the Jews cried out, saying, If thou let this man go, thou art not Caesar’s friend : whosoever maketh himself a king speaketh against Caesar. |
| ピラトは、これらの言葉を聞くと、イエスを外に連れ出し、ヘブライ語でガバタ、すなわち「敷石」という場所で、裁判の席に着かせた。 | 13 Dès qu’il entendit ces paroles, Pilate fit sortir Jésus et le fit asseoir sur l’estrade, à la place qu’on appelle Lithostrôtos - en hébreu Gabbatha. | 13 When Pilate therefore heard that saying, he brought Jesus forth, and sat down in the judgment seat in a place that is called the Pavement, but in the Hebrew, Gabbatha. |
| それは過越祭の準備の日の、正午ごろであった。ピラトがユダヤ人たちに、「見よ、あなたたちの王だ」と言うと、 | 14 C’était le jour de la Préparation de la Pâque, vers la sixième heure. Pilate dit aux Juifs : « Voici votre roi ! » | 14 And it was the preparation of the passover, and about the sixth hour : and he saith unto the Jews, Behold your King ! |
| 彼らは叫んだ。「殺せ。殺せ。十字架につけろ。」ピラトが、「あなたたちの王をわたしが十字架につけるのか」と言うと、祭司長たちは、「わたしたちには、皇帝のほかに王はありません」と答えた。 | 15 Mais ils se mirent à crier : « À mort ! À mort ! Crucifie-le ! » Pilate reprit : « Me faut-il crucifier votre roi ? » Les grands prêtres répondirent : « Nous n’avons pas d’autre roi que César. » | 15 But they cried out, Away with him, away with him, crucify him. Pilate saith unto them, Shall I crucify your King ? The chief priests answered, We have no king but Caesar. |
| そこで、ピラトは、十字架につけるために、イエスを彼らに引き渡した。 十字架につけられる こうして、彼らはイエスを引き取った。 |
16C’est alors qu’il le leur livra pour être crucifié. Ils se saisirent donc de Jésus. | 16 Then delivered he him therefore unto them to be crucified. And they took Jesus, and led him away. |
| イエスは、自ら十字架を背負い、いわゆる「されこうべの場所」、すなわちヘブライ語でゴルゴタという所へ向かわれた。 | 17 Portant lui-même sa croix, Jésus sortit et gagna le lieu dit du Crâne, qu’en hébreu on nomme Golgotha. | 17 And he bearing his cross went forth into a place called the place of a skull, which is called in the Hebrew Golgotha : |
| そこで、彼らはイエスを十字架につけた。また、イエスと一緒にほかの二人をも、イエスを真ん中にして両側に、十字架につけた。 | 18 C’est là qu’ils le crucifièrent ainsi que deux autres, un de chaque côté et, au milieu, Jésus. | 18 Where they crucified him, and two other with him, on either side one, and Jesus in the midst. |
| ピラトは罪状書きを書いて、十字架の上に掛けた。それには、「ナザレのイエス、ユダヤ人の王」と書いてあった。 | 19 Pilate avait rédigé un écriteau qu’il fit placer sur la croix : il portait cette inscription : « Jésus le Nazôréen, le roi des Juifs. » | 19 And Pilate wrote a title, and put it on the cross. And the writing was, JESUS OF NAZARETH THE KING OF THE JEWS. |
| イエスが十字架につけられた場所は都に近かったので、多くのユダヤ人がその罪状書きを読んだ。それは、ヘブライ語、ラテン語、ギリシア語で書かれていた。 | 20 Cet écriteau, bien des Juifs le lurent, car l’endroit où Jésus avait été crucifié était proche de la ville, et le texte était écrit en hébreu, en latin et en grec. | 20 This title then read many of the Jews : for the place where Jesus was crucified was nigh to the city : and it was written in Hebrew, and Greek, and Latin. |
| ユダヤ人の祭司長たちがピラトに、「『ユダヤ人の王』と書かず、『この男は「ユダヤ人の王」と自称した』と書いてください」と言った。 | 21 Les grands prêtres des Juifs dirent à Pilate : « N’écris pas ‹le roi des Juifs›, mais bien ‹cet individu a prétendu qu’il était le roi des Juifs›. » | 21 Then said the chief priests of the Jews to Pilate, Write not, The King of the Jews ; but that he said, I am King of the Jews. |
| しかし、ピラトは、「わたしが書いたものは、書いたままにしておけ」と答えた。 | 22 Pilate répondit : « Ce que j’ai écrit, je l’ai écrit. » | 22 Pilate answered, What I have written I have written. |
