Cet « Aujourd’hui » der Jésus résonne aussi fort dans ma tête qu’il y a 2 000 ans dans la tête des adorateurs de Dieu dans la synagogue de Nazareth. This "Today" of Jesus rings as loudly in my head as it did 2,000 years ago in the heads of the worshippers of God in the synagogue of Nazareth.
« Aujourd’hui, ce passage de l’Écriture s’accomplit pour vous qui l’entendez ». "Today this passage of the Scriptures is fulfilled for you who hear it.
Pas hier, pas demain, mais aujourd’hui. Not yesterday, not tomorrow, but today.
Aujourd’hui, pas hier, pas demain. Ici et maintenant, à Lille dans la chapelle du couvent des dominicains, ce mercredi 11 janvier de l’an de grâce 2023. Today, not yesterday, not tomorrow. Here and now, in Lille, in the chapel of the Dominican convent, this Wednesday 11 January of the year of grace 2023.
Aujourd’hui et pas hier. Today and not yesterday.
Hier, peut-être avons-nous été trahis et peut-être avons-nous trahi. Hier, peut-être ai-je fait souffrir et peut-être quelqu’un m’a fait souffrir. Hier peut-être n’ai-je pas répondu à l’amour et peut-être n’a-t-on pas répondu à mon amour. Hier peut-être ai-je commis ou subi des choses qui m’ont abaissé et dont j’ai honte. Yesterday, perhaps we were betrayed and perhaps we betrayed someone. Yesterday maybe I caused pain and maybe someone caused me pain. Yesterday perhaps I did not respond to love and perhaps my love was not responded to. Yesterday I may have done or suffered things that debased me and of which I am ashamed.
Hier peut-être ai-je connu l’amour vrai, hier peut-être ai-je connu des moments intenses de communion avec Dieu, hier peut-être ai-je fait preuve de bonté, de noblesse, et je m’en suis trouvé grandi. Yesterday I may have known true love, yesterday I may have known intense moments of communion with God, yesterday I may have shown goodness, nobility, and I have grown.
Mais hier c’est hier, et aujourd’hui, c’est l’aujourd’hui de l’année de grâce accordée par Dieu à ceux qui croient en son Fils Jésus Christ. Et tout ce que j’ai vécu, mes gloires et mes humiliations, tout cela s’efface pour laisser la place à ce que je vais faire de cet aujourd’hui, parce que l’histoire n’est pas finie, parce que je ne suis pas encore arrivé au terme de mon chemin de sanctification. But yesterday is yesterday, and today is the day of the year of grace granted by God to those who believe in his Son Jesus Christ. And all that I have experienced, my glories and my humiliations, all of that fades away to make room for what I am going to do with this day. Because the story is not finished, because I have not yet reached the end of my path of sanctification.
Aujourd’hui et pas demain. Today and not tomorrow.
C’est aujourd’hui et non pas demain que retentit l’appel à la conversion, c’est aujourd’hui et non pas demain qu’arrive le Royaume de Dieu, c’est aujourd’hui et non pas demain qu’il faut croire à la Bonne Nouvelle du salut en Jésus Christ. It is today and not tomorrow that the call to conversion rings out, it is today and not tomorrow that the Kingdom of God arrives, it is today and not tomorrow that we must believe in the Good News of salvation in Jesus Christ.
Mes frères et sœurs, je vous propose la résolution suivante pour chaque jour de l’année 2023 : « Aujourd’hui, je commence ». Aujourd’hui. My brothers and sisters, I suggest the following resolution for every day of the year 2023 : "Today I begin". Today.

イエスはお育ちになったナザレに来て、いつものとおり安息日に会堂に入り、聖書を朗読しようとしてお立ちになった。 16 Il vint à Nazara où il avait été élevé. Il entra suivant sa coutume le jour du sabbat dans la synagogue, et il se leva pour faire la lecture. 16 And he came to Nazareth, where he had been brought up : and, as his custom was, he went into the synagogue on the sabbath day, and stood up for to read.
預言者イザヤの巻物が渡され、お開きになると、次のように書いてある個所が目に留まった。 17 On lui donna le livre du prophète Esaïe, et en le déroulant il trouva le passage où il était écrit : 17 And there was delivered unto him the book of the prophet Esaias. And when he had opened the book, he found the place where it was written,
「主の霊がわたしの上におられる。貧しい人に福音を告げ知らせるために、／主がわたしに油を注がれたからである。主がわたしを遣わされたのは、／捕らわれている人に解放を、／目の見えない人に視力の回復を告げ、／圧迫されている人を自由にし、 18 L’Esprit du Seigneur est sur moi parce qu’il m’a conféré l’onction pour annoncer la Bonne Nouvelle aux pauvres. Il m’a envoyé proclamer aux captifs la libération et aux aveugles le retour à la vue, renvoyer les opprimés en liberté, 18 The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor ; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised,
主の恵みの年を告げるためである。」 19 proclamer une année d’accueil par le Seigneur. 19 To preach the acceptable year of the Lord.
イエスは巻物を巻き、係の者に返して席に座られた。会堂にいるすべての人の目がイエスに注がれていた。 20 Il roula le livre, le rendit au servant et s’assit ; tous dans la synagogue avaient les yeux fixés sur lui. 20 And he closed the book, and he gave it again to the minister, and sat down. And the eyes of all them that were in the synagogue were fastened on him.
そこでイエスは、「この聖書の言葉は、今日、あなたがたが耳にしたとき、実現した」と話し始められた。 21 Alors il commença à leur dire : « Aujourd’hui, cette écriture est accomplie pour vous qui l’entendez. » 21 And he began to say unto them, This day is this scripture fulfilled in your ears.
