Jésus met ses disciples devant leur responsabilité : vous êtes le sel de la terre, et il y a de quoi être fier, mais attention : si vous n’avez pas de sel en vous, vous serez tenus pour moins que rien [1]. Jesus confronts his disciples with their responsibility : you are the salt of the earth, and there is much to be proud of, but beware, you will be held as less than nothing if you have no salt in you [2].
Comme le sel, le disciple du Christ est un purificateur et un exhausteur de goût. Like salt, the disciple of Christ is a purifier and a flavour enhancer.
